Marjorie Flinn-Gratz , 84, of Nashville, passed away peacefully at her home at 3:10 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2010, with her children by her side.
Marjorie Lucille Jackson was born November 14, 1926, the youngest of six children of Virgil and Leona Decker Jackson of Saint Johns, Ohio. In August 1944, she married Howard C. Flinn, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children Jackson E. (Eugenia) Flinn of Muskego, WI, Kermit M. (Fenella) Flinn and Michele K. Flinn, both of Nashville, IN, and Melody J. (Robert) Moyer of Bluffton, IN.
On July 31, 1970 Marjorie married Kenneth E. Gratz of Columbus, IN. They enjoyed 32 years together until the time of his death in April, 2002. Following Kenneths death, Marjorie moved to Nashville, IN, to be closer to her children.
During their later years in Decatur County, Marjorie and Kenneth were members of Waynesburg Christian Church, while also serving on the board of directors of Christians in Action, Columbus, Indiana. Moving to Nashville, Marjorie enjoyed active membership in Nashville United Methodist Church.
Surviving along with her four children are 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Eileen Reinhart of Wapakoneta, OH; and four stepchildren and 11 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of Ohio.
Preceding her in death were an infant son at birth, Jason Ellwood Flinn; granddaughter, age 21, Tina Renee Flinn; a step-grandson, age 7, Aaron Andrew Gratz; three brothers, Charles Eldon Jackson, Neal Ward Jackson and Dale Warren Jackson; and one sister, Nevelyn C. Knotts.
Funeral Information
VISITATION: Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2010, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home on 25th Street, Columbus, Indiana, and also one hour prior to service time. The family will be present to greet friends and relatives.
SERVICES: A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2010, at the funeral home, with Pastor David Burnett of Waynesburg Christian Church officiating.
BURIAL: Marjorie will be laid to rest beside her husband in Shirk Cemetery, located on Ken-Mar Acres, on County Road 850S east of Waynesburg, Indiana.

MEMORIALS: Her desire is that memorial gifts be made to the Nashville United Methodist Church, Waynesburg Christian Church, or the donors choice of charity.
