Malcolm Mac Baker, 64, of Clifty Drive, died at 11:24 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mr. Baker was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and previously worked in sales at Carrico Furniture. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and kids, grandkids and church friends.
He also enjoyed spending time at church and fishing.
Born in Columbus April 15, 1946, Mr. Baker was the son of Harold E. and Catherine H. Carmer Baker. He married Emma J. Boyd September 4, 1976.
Survivors include his father, of Indianapolis; his wife; sons, Steven (April) Baker of Elliotsville, IN, Alvin Ronnie (Betty) Griffin of Columbus, IN, Donald (Barbara) Griffin of Columbus, IN, Larry (Donna) Griffin of Columbus, IN, and Marcus (Diana) Baker of Danville, PA; daughters, Tonja (Matt) Mueller of Indianapolis, IN; and Lutreasia (Carson) Gilbert of North Vernon, IN; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Debra (John) Murdock of Fort Myers, FL.
He was preceded in death by his mother; a son, Elbie Ray Griffin; daughters, Margaret Spurgeon, Wanda Griffin and Debra Griffin; and a brother, Gearld Baker
Funeral Information
FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Saturday, October 23, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Poynter and the Rev. Ronnie Hampton officiating.
CALLING: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
BURIAL: Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
