Joann Sue Herr June 10, 1945 - September 16, 2010 Joann Sue Herr, 65, of Elizabethtown, died at 11 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at her home. Mrs. Herr was a graduate of Columbus North High School, was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed cooking and was an artist. She was co-owner of Creative Tool & Machine and also had been a cosmetologist. Born in Columbus June 10, 1945, Mrs. Herr was the daughter of Paul Y. and Adah Dickason Duncan. She is survived by a son, Darrin Herr (fiance Linnita Endicott-Burton) of Elizabethtown; sisters, Wanda Gill, Mabel (Hal) Pruitt, and a twin sister, Janice Gilpin, all of Columbus; nephews, Gary Gill and Troy and Todd Gilpin; great-nephews, Ben Gill, Carson Gilpin, Devin Gilpin, Shawn Gilpin and Jason Matlock; nieces, Cindy Jo Hotz and Luann Matlock; and great-nieces, Nikki Joann Gill, Ashley Gilpin and Jennifer Matlock. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Wes Jones officiating. CALLING: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 20, and from 12:30 p.m. until service time Tuesday. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery.
