Bobby L. Patrick, 75, of Columbus, died at 1:38 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Bobby graduated from Columbus High School. He served in the Marine Corps and retired from Cummins Engine Company after 34 years of service.
He enjoyed reading, fishing, gardening and numerous other hobbies.
Born June 16, 1934, he was the son of Thomas W. and Pearl Daisy Cartwright Patrick. He married Jean Ann Stewart Oct. 31, 1976. She survives.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Karen J. Patrick of Bedford and Kimberley (Mark) Schoettmer of Columbus; stepchildren, Deborah Jean Hanson of Arizona, Brenda L. Overshiner of Knoxville, TN and Denby L. Brown of Columbus; grandchildren, Gabriel, Jessica, Jacob and Elizabeth Schoettmer and great-grandchildren, Nikolas and Madelyn Schoettmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lowell Patrick and a granddaughter, Mary Schoettmer.
Funeral Information
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. today at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Chaplain Jeff Boriss officiating.
CALLING: noon until service time.
BURIAL: Vernon Cemetery with military rites.
