Norma Horn, 86, of Harrison Lakes died at 4:18 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Prior to marrying Dean B. Horn on May 27, 1960, Mrs. Horn lived in Indianapolis and worked several years in the bridal department at L.S. Ayres. She and her husband have lived the 49 years since their marriage at their home on Harrison Lakes.
Mrs. Horn was a member of First United Methodist Church and loved sewing and planting and raising flowers.
Born in Montezuma April 3, 1923, Mrs. Horn was the daughter of Raymond and Ruth V. Dogett Smith.
Survivors include her husband; a stepson, Jerry D. Horn of Columbus; a daughter, Rebecca A. Darnell of Logansport; a stepdaughter, Judy A. Horn of Columbus; a grandchild, Devin Darnell of Arkansas; nieces, Donna Lee Jeffers and Jennifer Hitt, and a nephew, David Plummer, all of Lake Mary, Fla.
She was preceded in death by a son, Wesley R. Darnell Jr.; a granddaughter, Caren Sue Darnell; and a sister, Madaline Jeffers.
Funeral Information
FUNERAL: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Campbell officiating.
CALLING: 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday. Burial will be at City Cemetery.
