Wayne Francis Harris, 74, of Nineveh, died at 10:08 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Harris retired from Arvin Industries where he was a printer. He attended Columbus Free Methodist Church, was a veteran of the Indiana National Guard and enjoyed gardening.
Born in Columbus May 23, 1935, Mr. Harris was the son of Everett Mike and Emma Leslie Harris.
He is survived by a sister, Barbara (James) Whipker of Nashville; nieces and nephews, Roger Harris of Michigan, Jana Harris of Florida, William Harris of California, Michael Harris of California, Regina McDonald of Nineveh, Rhonda Butler of Dubai, UAE, Renea Lawson of Nevada and Ray Whipker of Brown County; and 16 great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Wilbur and James Harris.
Funeral Information
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Friday at Columbus Free Methodist Church, 1511 22nd St. with the Rev. Lane Loman officiating.
INURNMENT: Garland Brook Cemetery at a later date.
