Perry F. Croucher July 16, 1926 - January 02, 2009 Perry F. Croucher, 82, of Winter Haven, Fla., formerly of Columbus, Ind., died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at his home in Winter Haven, Fla. Perry was a World War II Army veteran serving in Germany. He was a retired fireman from the Columbus Fire Department. Perry was a collector of pocket watches for over 40 years and was a member of the National Association of Watch and Clocks. He enjoyed traveling and watching football. Mr. Croucher was born July 16, 1926, in Houston, Ind., the son of Bernice Croucher Brim. He married Sally Hopkins April 1, 1944. Mr. Croucher is survived by sons, Don (Pam) Croucher of Westerville, Ohio, Douglas (Rebecca) Croucher of Hope, Ind. and Dale Croucher of Winter Haven, Fla.; a daughter, Debbie (Steve) DeWalle of Winter Haven, Fla.; companion, Lynn Broadway of Winter Haven, Fla.; brothers, Bob Brim of Heltonville, Ind., Phillip Brim of Columbus, Ind. and Harold Brim of Homosassa, Fla.; sisters, Mable Bryant of Williston, Fla. and Willamay Hunter of Heltonville, Ind.; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sally, on March 1, 1996; and a sister, Jean Fountain. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Yeaton officiating. VISITATION: 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, and one hour prior to the service Thursday with honors provided by the Columbus Fire Department. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard. Donations Information MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to Columbus Firemans Cheer Fund.
