Rosemary Smith, 73, of Vance Street died at 11:50 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, at Columbus Regional Hospital
Mrs. Smith lived most of her life in Columbus and Edinburgh with her beloved dog and companion, Oscar. She was an avid NASCAR fan, watched wrestling and enjoyed gardening, yard sales, flea markets and spending time with her family.
Born in Brown County July 16, 1935, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of John and Iva Mullis Bisel. She married William Smitty Smith. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, John (Gina) Baker of Columbus; daughters, Versie (Tony) Krueger of Columbus, Jo (Jack) Chouinard of Tennessee, Junie (Jason) Miller of Hope and Luanna (Jack) Conner of Tennessee; grandchildren, Candy Rose Hendershot, Toni Martinez, Jack Chouinard Jr., John Andrew Baker, Russanna Cook, Josh Baker, Sara Lynn Baker, Anna Carol Baker, Shannon Sims, Lacey Hoeltke, Melissa Harmon, Chris Conner and Kurtis Meek; 17 great grandchildren and three nieces; and one nephew survive.
She was preceded in death by a son, David K. Baker; and sisters, Alice Turner and Ruth Boaz.
Funeral Information
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Monday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
VISITATION: 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday.
BURIAL: Henderson Cemetery in Brown County.
