David R. Glackin, 56, of Tipton Lane died at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008 at his home.
Mr. Glackin was employed by Cummins Engine Company for almost 20 years as design engineer. He enjoyed bicycling, woodworking, reading, music and spending time with his family. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Glackin was born Oct. 13, 1951 in Peoria, IL, the son of Glenn A. and Pauline Chown Glackin. He married Terese "Terri" Tesar June 4, 1988.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jonathan Michael Glackin of Columbus; a daughter, Kathleen "Katie" Glackin of Columbus; and a brother, Richard (Linda) Glackin of Peoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Glackin.
Funeral Information
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert Craig officiating. The memorial service will be followed by a time of visiting and refreshments.
Donations Information
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center at Indiana University Medical Center or the donor's choice of charity.
