Jean M. Whitehorn August 11, 1919 - July 22, 2007 Jean M. Whitehorn died at 7:35 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Forest Creek Village Nursing Home in Indianapolis, Ind. Mrs. Whitehorn was born in Hayden, Ind., and lived most of her life in Columbus. She worked several years at Dietz Market as a cashier and often mentioned how much she enjoyed the work because of all the nice customers. She enjoyed going to church and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Whitehorn lived the last few years of her life at Parkside Court and was there when her Alzheimers condition worsened, necessitating a move to the nursing home. Born Aug. 11, 1919, Mrs. Whitehorn was one of five daughters born to William and Clara French. She married Roy Whitehorn who passed away in March 1984. Survivors include her son, Ron Whitehorn and wife Sue of Carmichael, Calif., and their children, Michael Whitehorn of Orangevale, Calfi., and Kerri Morgan of Loomis, Calif. In addition, Mrs. Whitehorn is survived by the children of her deceased daughter, Donna McNeely, Scott McNeely of McDonaugh, Ga, Eric McNeely of Goose Creek, S.C., Amy Clevenger of Indianapolis and son-in-law, Bob McNeely of Jonesboro, Ga. Donna McNeely passed away in December 1990. Mrs. Whitehorn is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and five nieces and nephews and preceded in death by one great grandchild. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Willey officiating. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the funeral home. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery.
