He was a Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast and also enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and watching wrestling. Born in Brown County Nov. 7, 1952, Mr. Haggard was the son of Alvin Haggard and Mary Margaret Shipley. He married Esther Burkitt. Survivors include his wife; sons, Jonathan (Gretchen) Sloan of Indianapolis and Lester Allen (Stefanie) Sloan of Paragon; a daughter, Tina (John) Simons of Bloomington; and grandchildren, James and Casey Sloan and Mackenzie Simons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Haggard and Margaret Percifield; and a brother, Lester Leroy Haggard.
