Norma Ruth Smock, 84, of Wildwood Place, Columbus, Ind., died at 11 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Smock was a member of First United Methodist Church.
While attending Just Friends for the past 10 years, she became very close to the many people around her.
Mrs. Smock was born August 13, 1922 in Bartholomew County, Ind., the daughter of Raymond C. Smock and Lucille Adair Smock.
Survivors include a sister, Martha A. Smock of Columbus, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Margaret Smock of Indianapolis, Ind.; an aunt, Alice Mae Smock; cousins, Stanley (Linda) Smock and Alan (Kay) Smock; nieces, Suzanne Smock of Indianapolis and Judy Postlewaite of Martinsville, Ind.; a nephew, Dale (Beth) Smock of Greenwood, Ind.; and great-nieces and nephews, Brian and Amanda Smock, both of Greenwood, Ind. and Nathaniel and Drew Postlewaite, both of Martinsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Warren D. Smock; and an infant nephew, David Smock.
Funeral Information
FUNERAL: Will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steven Kaetzel officiating.
CALLING: Will be Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006, from 2 until 5 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
