Charles E. Schroer December 08, 1931 - October 15, 2006 Charles E. Schroer, 74, of Columbus died at 8 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mr. Schroer was a product engineer, retiring from Cosco in 1997 after 42 years of service. He was a lifetime member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church at Whitecreek. Born in Bartholomew County Dec. 8, 1931, Mr. Schroer was the son of Edward and Lorene Toburen Schroer. He married Vivian E. Pearson June 28, 1953. Survivors include his wife; sons, William E. (Debra) Schroer of Columbus and Robert E. (Karen) Schroer of Seymour; a sister, Elsie (Kenneth) Pollert of Vallonia; and grandchildren, Leah (Harvey) London of Gaffney, S.C., Tiffany, Ericka and Jessica Schroer, all of Seymour, and Hannah and Zachary Schroer of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Geneva Kelley and Florence Simmons. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Friday at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church at Whitecreek with Pastor Eldon Brandt officiating.
