Joseph William Coffman, 72, of Georgetown Road quietly passed into eternal rest Sept. 22, 2006. He was a lifelong resident of Bartholomew County.
Mr. Coffman began his career at Arvin Industries in 1952 after graduating from Columbus High School. He retired in 1995 as manager of drafting and prototype services.
He was of the Methodist faith, enjoyed mushroom hunting and loving being outdoors.
Born in Bartholomew County Jan. 18, 1934, Mr. Coffman was the son of Floyd R. and Ruby M. Houk Coffman. He married Michelle A. Coffman Oct. 16, 2000.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Steven F. (Beth) Coffman; a stepson, James E. (Jessica) Jones; daughters, Joanna R. Graham and Angela K. (David) Bowling; stepdaughters, Susan (George) Merriman and Sarah (Daryl Heidemann) Cooper; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert L. Coffman; and a sister, Mary M. Johnson.
Funeral Information
FUNERAL: A Private family graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday.
BURIAL:Garland Brook Cemetery with Dennis White officiating.
