Wm Ron Chandler November 19, 1941 - October 29, 2005 Wm Ron Chandler, 63, of Applegate Drive died at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 at his home. Ron lived his early life in Bloomington, graduating from Bloomington High School. Upon graduation, Ron enlisted with the U.S. Marine Corps, serving from 1959 to 1964. Ron joined the Indiana State Police in 1967 and retired in 1991 as a Master Trooper Detective, most recently retiring as an investigator for the Jennings County Prosecutors Office. In 1981 he received the Sagamore of the Wabash from Gov. Otis Bowen. He was a Past Commander of American Legion Post #24 and was also a member of Columbus Moose Lodge and a lifetime member of DeMolay. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Mr. Chandler was born Nov. 19, 1941 in Bloomington, the son of Charles and Cloe Ison Chandler. He married Sharon Regenos on April 5, 1981. Survivors include his wife; sons, Wm Terry (Christine) Chandler of Bloomington, Andrew David (Phyllis) Chandler of Solsberry, Joel Scott Chandler of Bloomington and Chris (Chena) Chandler of Columbus; a daughter, Laura Monies of Lynn, Mass., grandchildren, Tiffany (Rodney) Freeman, Jessica and Travis Clagg, Jason, Brittany, Tayler, McKenna and Seth Chandler; greatgrandchildren, Dominique and Mikayla Freeman; and a sister, Gladys Shields of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jay and Dutch Chandler; and a sister, Mary Lou Chandler. Funeral Information BURIAL: Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
