Flossie M. Sanders

Flossie M. Sanders, 87, of Elizabethtown, died at 6:51 a.m. May 30, 2019, at her home. Flossie was born October 4, 1931, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, the daughter of Doris Charles and Laura Elizabeth Roberts. She married William Theodore Sanders and he preceded her in death. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2019, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Hudson officiating. Calling will be 11 a.m. to time of service Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Survivors include her sons, Bill D. Sanders of Columbus, Michael E. Sanders of Elizabethtown and Carl W. (Cheryl) Sanders of Elizabethtown and daughters, Carolyn S. (George) Brown of Columbia, Kentucky, Lois G. Lewis of Elizabethtown, Barbara L. Belluchi of Elizabethtown and Sherry L. Sanders of Columbus; 30 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; and  several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris Roberts and Laura Lawson; husband, William; sons, Donald D. Sanders and Ray G. Sanders; brothers, Claude Roberts, Robert Roberts Jr. and Ray Lawson and sisters, Francis Sanders and Martha Haggard; and two grandchildren.
