  8. Cherish the many years having Connie on our high school faculty. Her smiles and wonderful personality enriched both students and faculty of G.C.H.S. Following her retirement, she regularly joined our retired teachers breakfast gathering on the first Monday of each month. Those times will be sorely missed but not forgotten.

  9. Connie was my dear friend all through school. We started first grade together at Petersville and then graduated together from Columbus High School in 1967. I have so many fond memories . . . camping together, her sunshine yellow bedroom, learning to make crystal cut candy, going to basketball games in snowstorms just to name a few. After high school we lost touch as we each went on to the next chapter of our lives. I believe my mom sold my piano to Connie for Erin so maybe a bit of friendship continued on through music. This picture was taken in September, 2018 when 4 of us Petersville graduates got together for pizza. It was a wonderful time of catching up and laughing at memories shared. I’m so glad to have had this one last time to be with Connie. To Bob, Erin, & Cheryl ~ I’m so sorry about her passing so unexpectedly, but please know that Connie lives on in the memories of the many lives she touched. My prayers and thoughts are with you. ~ Cheryl Carman Roberts (San Diego, CA)
