William Parker Vaughan, 67, of Chandler Lane, died at 5:59 a.m. May 3, 2019, at Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. William was born July 16, 1951, in Petersburg, Virginia, the son of Alfred Lannese and Margaret Blair Johnson Vaughan.  He married Deborah Ann Saxon June 28, 2014. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had been employed as a respiratory therapist and an over the road truck driver. William was a gun enthusiast who loved shooting and re-loading bullets. He was quick witted, enjoyed cooking and was a member of Watchmen of America where he was a mentor to several of the members. William had a love for history and loved spending time with his dog Frasier. William was devoted and loving to his family and friends.  A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2019, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Virgil Clotfelter officiating and military honors presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. Calling will be 11 a.m. until time of service Friday. Memorials may be made to Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard or Watchmen of America (online at www.watchmenofamerica.com). Survivors include his wife, Deborah; son, Andrew Thomas (Stacie) Vaughan of Hope, daughter Janice of North Carolina and stepdaughters, Mariah Phillips and Melinda Phillips; and grandchildren, Nicholas Vaughan, Nathaniel Vaughan, Noah and Levi of North Carolina, Skyla Rose Bruther and expected babies, Lyla Mae and Layla Ann. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Lannese Vaughan.
