Betty Jean Bailey

Betty Jean Bailey, 83, of Columbus, died at 2:30 a.m. April 21, 2019, at her home.   Betty was born September 1, 1935, in Nancy, Kentucky, the daughter of Doyle and Ola Roberts Flynn.  She married William Vern "Bill" Bailey in 1973.  She loved working in her garden, cooking, canning, quilting and playing board games. Betty loved spending time with her family. The funeral will be conducted at 10:30  a.m.Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Raymond Dupree officiating. Calling will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or The Pentecostals of Nashville, in Gnaw Bone. Survivors include her husband, Bill; son, Dave (Tammy) Miller of Columbus; brothers, Russell Flynn of Cincinnati and Vertrice (Anita) Flynn of Lockland, Ohio; and a grandson, Matthew (Lisa) Miller of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents.
