Doris J. Dunkin

Doris J. Dunkin, 87, of Hope, died at 12:50 a.m. April 1, 2019, at Miller's Merry Manor. Doris was born March 22, 1932, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Anna Menke Hunold.  She married Raymond J. Dunkin June 27, 1956, and he preceded her in death December 22, 2018. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and was an excellent cook and seamstress. The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday April 12, 2019, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Father Clem Davis officiating. Calling will be 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. She leaves behind three daughters, Kathy (Harold) Crim of Columbus, Bonnie (Danny) Peters of Greensburg and Christina Dunkin of Greensburg, and two sons, Ron (Adrianne) Dunkin of Morristown and Larry Dunkin of Kentucky; brothers, Gene (Shirley) Hunold and Ron (Betty) Hunold, both of Iowa, and a sister, Irma (Howard) Burch, also of Iowa; six grandchildren, Matthew Ault, Stephanie Kindred, Tabitha Saltzman, Mike Dunkin, Michelle Dunkin and Brian Dunkin; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; three sons, Richard, Michael and Raymond Dunkin, Jr.; and brothers, Bernard and Harold Hunold.
