Leon E. Winters

Leon E. Winters, 76, of Columbus, died at  March 25, 2019, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Leon was born October 19, 1942, in Jackson, Michigan, the son of Charles and Leah Winters.  He married Deborah on February 14, 1997. He was a 23+ year member of American legion Post 24 and a member of the Moose Lodge 398 since 1996. Friends may visit 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charity. Survivors include his sons, Randy (Angie) Winters, Zach (Jayne) Winters and Barry (Amber) Winters, and a daughter, Amanda (Steven Doan) Does; a sister, Sarah White; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Debbie; and brother, Charles “Bud” Winters, and sisters, Caroline, Charlene and Margaret.
