William Jessie "Bill" Gilland

William Jessie “Bill” Gilland, 82, of Deaver Road, died at 6:42 p.m. March 12, 2019, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Bill was born December 22, 1936, in Barren County, Kentucky, the son of Wallace and Nola Wheeler Gilland. He married Areta G. Gilland June 30, 1957, and she survives. Bill retired from Como Plastics in Columbus, Indiana. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Neal officiating. Calling will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Survivors include his wife, Areta; a brother, Robert (Rachel) Gilland and a sister, Judy (Bobby) Green, both of Bowling Green, Kentucky; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
