Connie Frazier

Connie Frazier, 72, of Columbus, died at 7:04 p.m. February 28, 2019, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. Connie was born October 4, 1946, in Columbus, the daughter of Albert and Amelia Jane "Mickie" Kelley Yates. She married Melvin T. Frazier and he preceded her in death. She had been employed as a clerk at various gas stations and was a people person. Connie attended church regularly and had previously attended Full Gospel Revival Tabernacle in Clifford. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2019, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Fields officiating. Calling will be 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bartholomew County Humane Society. Survivors include her son, Bryce (Lindsay) Fields of Edinburgh; several stepchildren including Cecil (Stacy) Frazier; brothers, Stanley (Alice) Yates and Boyd Yates, both of Columbus; a grandchild, Peyton L. Philyaw; and a granddog, Sophie. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin; son, Barry Dale Philyaw and a daughter, Barbara Philyaw.
