Teresa Lynn Beavers, 53, of Beam Road, died at 3:15 p.m. February 17, 2019, at Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room. Teresa was born March 2, 1965, in Columbus, the daughter of Huston and Sharon I. Carman Rooks. She was a member of Lowell General Baptist Church and had been employed as a custodian at Northside Middle School. She was a lover of Harley Davidson and loved to ride. She adored her grandchildren and kids. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Poynter officiating. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Shelby County. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Survivors include her mother, Sharon I. Rooks of Columbus; a companion, Tim Mourey of Columbus; sons, Jason (Tina) Barwick and Justin (Charity) Barwick, and daughter, Samantha (Jacob) Beavers, all of Columbus; a brother, Chet Rooks of Columbus and sisters, Debbie (Patrick) Fleetwood of Tampa, Florida, and Sandy (Mark) Boswell of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Lincoln Elliott and Brookelynn Foley; her granddog, Gypsy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Huston Rooks.
