Lorena L. Hoeltke

Lorena L. Hoeltke, 97, passed from this life on January 29, 2019, in her home at Greentree Assisted Living. She was born in Bartholomew County on August 5, 1921.  Lorena graduated from Columbus High School. Shortly thereafter she married Wilbur C. Hoeltke. She traveled with Wilbur to several military bases during the Second World War. She enjoyed spending time at her cottage at Lutheran Lake where she loved to share time with her family. She was an avid seamstress and doll maker. She completed over 100 dolls and outfits before she could no longer see to do the details. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clifty. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Douglas Bauman officiating. Calling will be two hours prior to the funeral. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Radio Ministry. Lorena was the daughter of Albert and Edna Arnholt. She married Wilbur Hoeltke on September 17, 1944. Survivors include a daughter, Carole (Michael) Disler, Sebring, FL; a son, Lynn (Beverly) Hoeltke, Columbus, IN; a brother, Dale (Marianne) Arnholt, Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Darren (Sally) Disler, Dodd (Heather) Disler, Amanda (Jeff) McDonald and Jonathan (Alechia) Hoeltke; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur Hoeltke; and a brother, Floyd Arnholt.
