Elsie R. Rogers

Elsie R. Noe Rogers, 78, of Columbus, passed away November 20, 2018, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Elsie was born September 19, 1940 in Gravel Switch, Kentucky, the daughter of James Brown Noe and Jessie Virginia Lane Noe. On November 2, 1968, she married Randolph Rogers, spending over 50 wonderful years together. Elsie was employed at Avery Press for many years. She enjoyed landscaping her yard, but Elsie especially loved working in her flower garden. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday November 24, 2018 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Brother Steve Campbell officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of services. Burial will be at Flatrock Baptist Cemetery. Elsie is survived by her husband Randolph; special niece and nephews Rhonda Sue Foster of Louisville, Ron Foster of Brownsburg, and Randy “Deano” Foster of Columbus; brother-in-law Bob (Phyllis) Rogers of Tallahassee, Florida; sisters-in-law Betty Noe of Columbus and Mabel Noe of Louisville; as well as a multitude of additional nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Rebecca Nelson, Genetta Foster, Mary Bell Carrico, Loraine Goldy, Bobbie Jean Noe, and Sylvia Ann Blair; as well as brothers Isaac, Charles, Robert, Thomas, Bill, Clarence, and Larue Noe.
