Kathleen S. McCarty

Kathleen S. McCarty, 73, of South Ross Street, died at 2:26 p.m. November 8, 2018, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Kathleen was born January 24, 1945, the daughter of John Willy and Helen Burton King. She married Charles E. McCarty in October of 1962 and he preceded her in death July 5, 2017. She loved making crafts, especially Indian dolls, and going to monster truck shows with her son, Delbert. Kathleen also enjoyed watching westerns and listening to country music. The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Fields officiating. Calling will be from 2 p.m. until time of service Sunday. Memorials may be made to donor's choice of charity in Kathleen's name. Survivors include her son, Delbert Lee (Janita) McCarty of Columbus; brothers, Kenny King and Steve King, both of Kentucky, and Larry King and Hoppy King, both of Indiana, and a sister, Mary King of Indiana; grandchildren, Matthew Craig McCarty and Vanessa Dawn McCarty; and great-grandchildren, Sariah Lynn, Maddison Grace and Lyla Leann McCarty.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles.
