Carol Kiel, 85, of Offshore Drive, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.   Carol was born January 8, 1933 in Elizabethtown, Indiana to the late Marcus Nolting and Elsie Schumacher Nolting.  She married Kenneth Kiel, January 18, 1953, who survives. Carol graduated from Ball State School of Nursing with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.  She retired after 50 years of nursing in Bartholomew and Jackson counties. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Jonesville.   Carol was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, and was an accomplished musician who expressed her strong faith through music. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church – Jonesville with the Rev. Matthew Jung officiating. Calling will be from 9 a.m. to 10a.m. Wednesday at the church.  Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Jonesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Jonesville, Trinity Lutheran High School or The Salvation Army.  Carol is survived by her husband; five children, Beth Penn of Alabama, Mark (Tamara) Kiel of Columbus, Jan Kiel (Jon Webb) of Columbus, Jean Buchanan of Louisville, and Bradley Kiel of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Chad Kiel, Anne Marie Kiel, Warren Kiel, Gracie Webb, Kiel T. Webb, and Olivia Buchanan.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings:  Marcus Nolting, Morris Nolting, Max Nolting, Virginia Burbrink, Rosalyn Lanham, and Elizabeth Cline.
