Rager LaFont, 67, of Columbus, passed away at 9:55 p.m. May 30, 2018, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Debra was born August 23, 1950, in Columbus, the daughter of Kenneth and Margaret Donica Rager. She married John LaFont on February 14, 1992. Debra loved being a bus monitor for BCSC, where she was rewarded with the job of working with special needs children. She enjoyed gardening, painting, crafts, cooking, and baking. What Debra loved most of all was spending time with her pets and her family.   Survivors include her husband, John; her mother, Margaret Donica Rager of Columbus; a son, Jason (Stephanie) Long of Columbus; a daughter, Wendy (Jerry) Watkins of Columbus; grandchildren, Nicholas Long, Rebecca Long, Noah Long, Danelle Gates, and Samantha Long; great-grandchildren, Laila Rothrock, Mikeal Gilbert, Dakota Rothrock, and Gabriel Gates; siblings, Kevin (Brenda) Rager of Bargersville and Paula (Bert) Kaufman of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Rager.
