Otis Dwight "Big O" Wiley, 65, of Columbus, died at 11:49 p.m. May 21, 2018, at Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. Big O was born January 20, 1953, in Seymour, Indiana, the son of Arthur and Geneva Kinworthy Wiley. He married Karen A. Eden November 26, 1972. He was a Vietnam War veteran, having served in the US Marine Corps. Previously he worked for Hauser Junior and Senior High Schools as a custodian, then worked for, and retired from, Indiana State Corrections. Big O was a lifetime member, and former commander, of the local V.F.W. Post 1987. He loved anything John Wayne or Marine Corps, along with his k-9 companion, Sarge. He enjoyed being with his family and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. The service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018, at V.F.W. Post 1987, 215 North National Road, Columbus with military honors presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. Calling will be from noon until the time of service Saturday at the V.F.W. Post 1987. Memorials may be made to V.F.W. Post 1987 or Toys for Tots. Survivors include his wife, Karen; daughters, Kimberly (Brian) Acre of North Vernon, Kirsten (William Aulby) Nentrup of Columbus and Shannon (Zac) Reynolds of Newpoint, Indiana; grandchildren, Karina Nentrup, Mackenzie and Makayla Spurlin, Caraline, Hannah, John and Joey Reynolds, Kaley and Brogan Acre, and Brooklynn and Maria Aulby; and several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Scott Allan Wiley; and several other family members.
