George G. Burton, 56, of Hawcreek Boulevard,  passed away May 6, 2018, at his home. George was born February 15, 1962, in Johnson County, Indiana, to the late Howard Wayne and Mary Johnson Burton. George retired from Arvin Meritor. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. George is survived by a son, Nathan Burton of Columbus; two daughters, Shannon Sneed and Sara Burton, both of Columbus; five brothers, Andy Burton, Chris Burton, Billy Burton, Ricky Burton, Mikey Burton; and his companion, Linda Sneed. George was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roger Burton. We are so saddened to hear of this news. George, along with Andy and Chris, was a great pleasure to have in my class of Junior Boys at the Assembly of God church in Edinburgh. I count it a privilege to have served him Sunday School and for the opportunity to teach him about Christ. I am sorry that my own health situation prevents me from being able to attend his services but please know that my heart and love is with you all. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
