Luella E. Bolte, 97, of Columbus died at 9:30 a.m. April 23, 2018, at her home. Luella was born February 16, 1921, in Bartholomew County the daughter of George and Elise Schneider Hoffman.  She married Herschel F. Bolte November 27, 1943, and he preceded her in death in February of 1980.   She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church – Jonesville. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church – Jonesville with the Rev. Matthew Jung officiating. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Jonesville. Memorials may be made to the St. Paul’s Endowment Fund, White Creek Lutheran School or Schneck Medical Center Hospice. Survivors include her daughter, Kay (Gerald) Clow of Columbus; grandchildren, Keith (Carrie) Clow of Auxvasse, Missouri, and Danielle (Doug) Lynch of Brownsburg, Indiana; and great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Clow and Jordan Lynch. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herschel; son, Richard Bolte; brothers, Edwin Hoffman, Willard Hoffman and Martin Hoffman; and a sister, Adella Hoffman Burbrink.
