Sondra D. Wiley, 58, of Elizabethtown, died at 9:28 a.m. March 26, 2018, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Sondra was born March 8, 1960, in Columbus, the daughter of William and Sharon Prior Smith.  She married Clinton W. Wiley June 26, 1982. Sondie worked for Cummins for over 20 years and spent the last eight years as a full-time wife, mother and mamaw. In her free time she enjoyed making big family dinners, swimming with friends and family, and fishing with her husband. She also enjoyed collecting Americana antiques. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she loved sharing it with friends and family. More than anything she loved spending time with her grandbabies. The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Dereck Fields officiating. Calling will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at Springer Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home to help with final expenses. Survivors include her mother, Sharon Smith of Columbus; husband, Clinton; sons, Travis (Rachel) Wiley of Elizabethtown and Dillon (Rachael) Wiley of Columbus; brothers, Daniel Smith of North Vernon and David (Kim) Smith of Columbus; sisters, Lorrie (Eddie) Cruz of North Vernon and Debbie Smith of Columbus; and grandchildren, Austin Wiley, Wade Wiley, Hayden Wiley and Gunner Wiley. She was preceded in death by her father, William Smith and a sister, Deborah Smith. But always know that she’s with you in everything you see or do. I so enjoyed working with Sondie at Cummins when she was on the switchboard and I was in International area! She transferred a call to me from a gentleman in Australia who had an issue and needed help regarding his engine in a tractor… Sondie is a true blessing and I’m so thankful that I had the chance to work / talk with her… God bless each of you…

  8. I am so sorry to hear of Sondie’s passing. I haven’t seen her in years but knew her from Cummins and she was such a nice person. Blessings to the family on your loss. I know she will always be with you in your hearts!
