Barbara A. Lehman, 78, of Columbus, passed away at 10:37 a.m. Saturday March 17, 2018 at Willow Crossing Health and Rehabilitation. She was born February 12, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois and has been a Columbus resident for most of her life. She retired from The Republic Newspaper. She is survived by her husband, George W. Lehman of Columbus; daughters, Holly Lehman of Columbus and Julie (Catherine) Bass of Old Hickory, Tennessee; grand children, William K. Timbrook, Karin (Stephanie) Timbrook and Ciarra L. Lehman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Johnson and Corrine Pearson Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday March 20, 2018 in Garland Brook Mausoleum with Rev. Wes Jones officiating. Entombment will follow the service. Per Barbara’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours. Memorial contributions in memory of Barbara may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana 2626 E. 17th Street Columbus, Indiana 47201. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
