Kenny was born January 10, 1937, in Brownstown, the son of Will and Hazel Robertson Elkins. He was married to his beautiful wife, Beulah M. Turner, for 30 years before her passing on January 27, 1999. He attended Heltonville High School, graduating in the class of 1956, and was a member of Revival Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Clifford. Kenny was raised on a dairy farm where he worked hard and later went on to become an entrepreneur. He loved antique cars and singing, and enjoyed collecting cars, knives and clocks. Kenny had a big heart and believed in second and third chances. He cared for those in need. Kenny could make you laugh or cry, was quick witted, and told it like it was. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and cared for his family impeccably. He was an all-around good man who will be missed. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Eli Johnson officiating. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Madison Education Foundation or Columbus Education Foundation. Survivors include his sons, Mike (Joyce) Crank of Columbus and Terry Crank of Madison; his companion of 16 years, Kim Denney; stepson, Joey Denney; stepdaughters, Elizabeth Denney, Amber Reddy and Jennifer (Aaron) Welsh; a sister, Fern Scott of Summerfield, Florida; grandchildren, Jessica Crank Goble, Joshua Crank, Jeremy Crank, and Jared Crank; step-grandchildren, Atlas Lee and Abel Sons; great- grandchildren, Courtney Crank, Lauren Crank, Audrey Crank, Makayla Crank, Brooklyn Crank, Ava Mae Crank and Mia Crank; a great-great grandchild, Hayden Lauderbaugh; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beulah; brother, Ernie Elkins; and sisters, Evelyn Murphy, Lucille Olsen, Verl Trogden and Grace Elkins.
