State St., Franklin, IN 46131, or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 17th St., Columbus, IN 47201Carolyn Evans Stott, 81, passed away on February 3, 2018, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. She had recently been diagnosed with liver cancer. Carolyn was born on November 20, 1936, at the family farm in Hartsville, to Roscoe and Lola Vern VanScyoc Evans. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1954. In high school, she worked at the Bob-O-Link restaurant in Columbus, where she met her husband, Bennie Dean Stott. They were married on December 6, 1954, at First Christian Church, Columbus. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Glenn Callaway until 1970. After assisting Bennie in his restaurant businesses for several years, she was employed as a bus driver for the Columbus Transit until her retirement in August 2002. After retirement, Carolyn kept busy driving the tour bus for the Visitor’s Center, and thoroughly enjoyed meeting the visitors and showing them her town. Carolyn enjoyed antique collecting throughout her life and was a member of the Columbus Antique Club. She dearly loved her family and took great pleasure in spending time with her grandchildren and holding family gatherings at holidays. She is survived by daughters, Dana (Don) Beyer and Sherry (Rick) Galbreath; son, Chris Stott; grandchildren, Evan Beyer and Kate (Jeb) Rendall; nephews, David Best, Dale Best, Bill Stott and Mike Stott; niece, Marva Evans; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Maxine Padgett; and a brother, William Evans.
