Bailey      FINAL RESTING PLACE: Owensburg Cemetery Owensburg, IndianaVISITATION: 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church Patrick Neal Bowman died on Saturday, January 27, 2018 due to a traffic accident in Columbus, Indiana.   He was born on August 19, 1982 in Columbus, Indiana. Patrick was a member of Parkside Baptist Church where he was baptized after accepting Jesus as his Savior at the age of seven. He graduated from Columbus North High School in 2001 and attended Ivy Tech Community College in Columbus, Indiana, where he studied photography. Patrick was a talented singer and song writer who wrote over 1,000 songs. In high school, he started his first band, Lenore Syndrome, and recorded a CD. He was a member of several other bands through the years. For the last 10 years he was known by the stage name “Tilford Sellers” playing Honky Tonk country music. He and his band recorded four albums and toured the country playing venues in over 20 states.   He was recently nominated as the 2018 Honky Tonk Male Artist of the Year by The Ameripolitan Music Awards. Patrick was planning to attend the awards ceremony in Memphis, TN on February 13th. Patrick had many interests and hobbies. He was a talented photographer, an avid reader, and a serious collector of vintage vinyl records and Spiderman Comic Books. Patrick is survived by his fiancé, the love of his life, Sarah Terrell; his parents, Rick and Judy Bowman of Columbus; and sister Kathryn (Thomas) Branyon of San Antonio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gail and Josephine Bowman and Dwight D. and Jewell Carmichael. Visitation will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at Parkside Baptist Church with Dr. William Bailey officiating on Saturday, February 3, 2018 with visitation starting at 10 a.m. and the service beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Owensburg Cemetery in Owensburg, Indiana.

  8. I only knew him as Tilford. Onstage, he was larger than life, a magnetic and compelling performer, true right down to his boots. As a friend, he was so kind, generous and intelligent. I wish his family, especially his parents, some way to find peace. I know what a vacuum will be left in your lives. I just hope you know how much your son and brother was admired by the music community.
