Jerry R. Pace Sr., 77, of Freetown, died at 9:20a.m. November 5, 2017, at his home. Jerry was born July 14, 1940, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, the son of Vernon C. and Delcie Mae Craft Pace. He married Eva Craft May 2, 1961. He loved NASCAR, playing and listening to bluegrass music, and spending time with his family. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Everidge Funeral Home, Whitesburg, Kentucky, with the Rev. Glennis Morris officiating. Calling will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Everidge Funeral Home. Burial will be at Vernon Pace Cemetery in Pine Creek, Kentucky. Survivors include his wife, Eva; sons, Jerry R. Pace Jr., Phillip C. Pace, Mark E. (Amy J.) Pace, all of Freetown; brothers, Owen (Barbara) Pace of Freetown, Joe (Peggy) Pace of Freetown, William (Wanda) Pace of Columbus and Bennie (Cheryl Jean) Pace of Hayden, Indiana; sisters, Judy (Arthur) Brown of Columbus, Betsy (Mark) Lambert of Columbus and Vauldra (Ron) Bailey of Whiteland; grandchildren, Alexis, Angel, Cheyenne and Kendra; and great-grandchildren, Athena, Annabella and Bentley. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Karla Mae Pace; and brother, Gary Pace. Arrangements provided by the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Jerry will be missed by many I thought alot of Jerry so did my boys when Jerry and Eva went to ky they would always stop by and visit us love listening to his stories of the past rest easy Jerry your work is done here on Earth now it’s your time to rejoice in the Lordmy thoughts and prayers are with Eva and the family

I loved my brother with all my heart. He is missed but joy fills my heart knowing he is with the Lord & all who have gone in before. He is with Mom, Dad, brothers Owen & Gary as well as his baby girl Karla Mae, nephew Dennis. Minnie Spangler Craft who was a Women after God’s Heart.
We were a close knit family , Jerry & I were the book ends he was our eldest brother & I was youngest. He looked after each of us as we were younger & grew into adults. I miss you brother & one day we shall meet again. Eva & the boys are good & you do have a couple more grand babies. Love you Lord a Jesus & thank you for the family I was born into & all of our extended families. Owen Sr & OJ are there with you. As well as Irene . My prayers and condolences to all of Jerrys family! Jerry and his brothers were good friends at WHS! I enjoyed the video of Jerrys life and family, it brought back a lot of good memories! It seemed like yesterday that we were running up and down the football field, then life happened! From watching the video, I could tell Jerry had run the last mile home!
