Cassandra Aleene Morrison, 53, of Elizabethtown, died at 2:30 a.m. November 2, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Cassandra was born August 29, 1964, in Bartholomew County, the daughter of John Hubert and Nancy Joann Lucas Smith. She married Allen Eugene Morrison and he survives. She was employed as a produce manager at Walmart and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2017, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Thompson officiating. Calling will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Survivors include her mother, Nancy Joann Smith of Columbus; husband, Allen; son, Jonathon Allen (Angela) Morrison of Columbus, daughter, Jessica Ann (Ronald Sterling) Morrison of Elizabethtown; sister, Nicole Jeanette Henson of Columbus; and grandchildren, Emily LeeAnn Morrison, Cody DeHaven, Rachel Aleene Sterling, Kameron Michael Sterling and Kristopher Lewis Sterling. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Jennifer Joann Smith.

I just want you all to know what a special person Cassie was. I loved her very much. I will truly miss that beautiful smile and hearing that laugh. My prayers are with all of you during this time.
I am so sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful mother, mother in law to my daughter Angela, and to my grand children Cody Dehaven, and Emily Morrison. Every time I ever seen Cassie she was smiling. She will be missed. Praying for family in these hard times.
