Audrey Cox, 78, of Washington Street, died at 5 p.m. September 25, 2017, at Brown County Health and Living. Audrey was born December 18, 1938, in Helmsburg, the daughter of Dallas and Edna Carothers Myers. he married Joseph Donald Cox in January of 1965. He preceded her in death June 23, 2017. She was previously employed at Cummins Engine Co. and Century 21 Realtors. Audrey had a lifelong love of Brown County and was always on the go, going to garage sales and auctions. Audrey loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed the time she had with her cousins and friends. Survivors include her son, Joseph D. (Dana) Cox of Seymour, daughters, Janet K. (Christopher) Chapple and Joyce A. (Russell) Neville, both of Columbus; and her grandchildren, Ryan Chapple and David Neville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joseph.

I am so sorry to hear about Audrey. She was such a beautiful person. When I visited at the nursing home, she was always thankful for her children and would tell me how much she loves you. She missed your dad so much; she said she would think of something and want to tell him about it. Scripture tells us to be absent from the body is to present with the Lord. So, I know you will miss her, but take comfort in knowing she is without pain, happy, smiling, and with your dad and grandparents worshiping Jesus the King.
