VISITATION: 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery.Betty J. Johnson, 71, of Columbus, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017, at Columbus Regional Hospital.Betty was born May 11, 1946, in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of Thurman and Lillie Mae (Barger) Brown. She married Larry Johnson on September 21, 1991.She attended the Seventh Street Church of God and loved designing floral arrangements.The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Ballard officiating. Calling will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.Betty is survived by her husband, Larry; sons, Larry Dale (Susie) Garrison of Columbus, Indiana, Brent Garrison of Columbus, Indiana and Larry Price Johnson of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Helen L. (George) Crase of Columbus, Indiana; brothers and sisters-in-law, Beverly Davidson, Bobby (Carmen) Johnson, Nathan (Sandy) Johnson, Raymond Johnson, Jr. and Billy Ray Johnson.She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Earl Brown; sister, Phyllis Shepherd Neville and father and mother-in-law, Raymond Sr. and Susie Johnson.
