Rose Callahan

Gabriel “Rose” Sachiko Callahan passed away quietly at her home on June 11, 2017 of stage 4 colon cancer. She was 49 years of age. She arrived in the United States when she was 22 years of age and became a US citizen at age 30. She was a member of the Saint Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church. She was employed at KN Platech in administration in Shelbyville until she became disabled in 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday June 14, 2017 in Saint Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church with Father Andy Syberg officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Rose is survived by her parents, Yasuto and Kiyoko Uchihori and her brother Hikaru Uchihori, all of Yokohama Japan; her son, Jimmy Callahan and his father Russell Callahan both of Columbus as well as her companion, Steve Schoettmer of Elizabethtown.
