Schneebele Barriger, 97, of Columbus, passed away at 11:43 p.m. May 20, 2017, at Willow Crossing Healthcare Facility. Marian was born May 14, 1920, in Chester, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Leonard Lee and Annie Anderson Groscup. She married Arthur Jacob Schneebele on Oct. 8, 1949. He preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1981. Marian then married Donald Barriger on Sept. 15, 2001. He preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 2004. Marian was a member of Lakeview Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening as well as family dinners. Marian is survived by her daughter, Sharon Schneebele of Columbus; grandchildren, Tamara (Adam) Brown, Bethany (Alex) Clotfelter, Paul (Kristina) Kanter II and Keren Kanter; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Smith, Morgan Smith, Jamie Brown, Calla Clotfelter and Aubree Kanter. Marian was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a son, Gary Arthur Schneebele; a great-granddaughter, Felicity Anne Smith; nine brothers; and three sisters.
