He grew up in the First Presbyterian Church in Columbus. Recently, he participated in, and sometimes facilitated, a Bible study here in Columbus. He enjoyed weight lifting, skateboarding, video games and collecting Nike shoes. He was fun-loving, with a unique sense of humor, and loved entertaining those around him. His sons were the center of his life. Riley loved children and when he took his sons to various playgrounds, he often became a pied piper with several children gathering around to join the fun.He was a very good friend and would often find ways to help others. Riley was loved by many and his passing will leave a forever hole in the lives of his family, friends, and others who were privileged to know him.The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Norie Erickson and Cal Brand officiating. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Riley Shoultz Memorial Fund through the funeral home.Survivors include his mother, Debarah Shoultz of Columbus; three sons, Ethan Shoultz of Indianapolis, Andrew Turner and Jayceon Shoultz, both of Columbus; an honorary son, Landen Ramey of Indianapolis; two uncles and an aunt, Cliff Shoultz of Indianapolis and Richard Shoultz (Nikki) of Plainfield; and two cousins, Emma and Elizabeth Shoultz.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clifton O. and Bonnie L. Shoultz of Indianapolis.






Debbie…I am so sorry to hear about Riley. I can remember when you were on your way to get him…You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Thoughts and prayers go out to Debbie and her family in the loss of her son Riley. I can remember vividly the day Riley came to you and played ball with me at North.I enjoyed that day so much. He was such a fun loving young boy. He will be missed. Be comforted in knowing that he is in a much better place.
Our deepest sympathy is with each of you. Riley was a unique young man who loved his mother, his family and his church. Our prayers will continue with the hope of easing your immediate pain and loss.

I was so sorry to hear about Rileys passing. I worked at Nancy Nook and remember Riley very well. May God comfort during this time.
