She married Miles Ray Barnes September 11, 1971.She was a member of Garden City Church of Christ, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the ladies aid, and also had been church secretary at Nashville Christian Church for 19 years.The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017, at Garden City Church of Christ with the Rev. Brian Gilroy and Pastor Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Brown County.Arrangements were made by Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.Memorials may be made to Garden City Church of Christ or Clarity Center through the funeral home.Survivors include her husband; son, Daniel (Rachel) Barnes of Morgantown; brothers, Joseph (Marilyn) Bond of Kurtz, Indiana, and David (Lucille) Bond and James (Linda) Bond, both of Nashville; sisters, Phyllis Bond and Mary Faith (Jerry) Floyd, both of Nashville; and grandchildren, Mason, Carson and Judson Barnes.She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Bond.
