Sarah Marie Holderman, 35, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, formerly of Muncie, passed away at 7:25 A.M. Sunday January 22, 2017 at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis of acute pancreatitis. Sarah was born February 11, 1981, the daughter of Don C. and Becky Hodler Holderman of Noblesville, formerly of Muncie. Sarah was a 1999 graduate of Muncie Central High School. After graduation, she received her Cosmetologist License in 2003. Sarah graduated with honors from Ivy Tech in 2010 with a degree in Medical Assisting. Then in 2011 she attained her Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, and in 2012 she attained her Certified Medical Assistant Certification. She was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. A private family service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus, Indiana. Survivors include her parents; a brother Adam C. (Carrie) Holderman of McCordsville; a nephew and niece Evan C. and Morgan M.; an uncle M. Andy Hodler; cousins Andrea Hodler, Shannon Beck, and Shannon's sons, Christian and Ryan. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Paul C. and Hildreth M. Hodler, and Glen C. and Evelyn D. Holderman. The joy of Sarah’s life was being able to spend time with her niece and nephew. Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.

Sarah was an amazing person she worked at the treatment center I was in she showed me nothing but love and compassion and taught me how to keep my head up when it was hard at times. She has and forever will hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for keeping me sober Sarah xo

So very sorry to hear about Sarah. I often read about her journey and was so touched by her perseverance and success. She may have lost this earthly battle but she left a legacy of love, guidance love and friendship to so many. Please find comfort in God’s promise to end sickness, suffering, and death. Also take note of the promise that we we’ll see those again we have lost in death. These promises are given to us at Revelation 21:4; and John 5:28, 29. I do hope you are able to find comfort in knowing this.

I knew Sarah for 8 years & she was the sweetest person ever! I met her while I was attending the KOLBE Center & she was extremely supportive. When my time had ended there we stayed friends & spoke often. I was so proud of her sobrity & weight loss &128519; and the pics she used to post from Florida were beautiful! She was 1 in a million & will be greatly missed!!! Have fun on those streets of gold angel! Xoxoxoxox
