Maurice Von “Moe” Burton, 66, of East Campbell Street, Edinburgh, died at 5:30 a.m. November 28, 2016, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Maurice was born August 19, 1950, in Johnson County, the son of Maurice Dale and Cinderella Barnett Burton. Maurice was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed music and watching wrestling. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and making people laugh. Survivors include his daughter, Chandra (Robert) Hogston of Columbus; companion, Debbie Jarrell of Columbus; brothers, Larry Dale (Lucinda) Burton of Nashville and David L. (Debra Lee) Burton of Edinburgh; sisters, Margie Kathryn (Terry) Huffman of Peoga, Indiana, Linda Faye (James) Johnson of Reddington and Darla Jean Love of Apex, North Carolina; a niece, Mickey (Donnie) Burton of Edinburgh; along with several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Robbie Gail Lollar.
