Clarence was born March 14, 1924, in Webster County, Kentucky, the son of Henry L and Emma D. Majors. He married Alice M. Richardson. Clarence was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the V.F.W and former member of the Bartholomew County Color Guard. Clarence was instrumental in setting up the Camp Atterbury Museum. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Stephanie Howe officiating. Calling will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery, Columbus, IN. Memorials may be made to the Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Alice Majors; daughters, Sandra Voelker of Columbus, IN, Patti Jo (Jay) Bowman of Trafalger, IN; five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents and son, Jerry Wayne Majors.
