Rev. Grant Warren Swartz, 70, of Elizabethtown, died at 3:03 p.m. October 30, 2016, at Columbus Regional Hospital emergency room. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Brother Paul Handel officiating. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Friday. Burial will be at Azalia Methodist Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home to help with final expenses. Survivors include his wife, Hurlene M. Smith Swartz of Elizabethtown; and three sisters, Mary Anne (Duane) Bair of Michigan, Judy Johnson of Ohio and Sue (Marcus) Kerek of Arizona.

I worked with Grant at Lowe’s for several years at the old and new stores both. I always considered him a friend and we shared our faith with each other. We saw each other at a lot of local Gospel Concerts and also when he worked at Menards. Will miss Grant and my prayers are with your family.
