Acton's memorial video, please CLICK HEREThe Rev. Harry E. Acton, 77, of Columbus, died at 11:35 a.m. Friday, September 23, at Kindred Health and Rehabilitation. Harry was born April 13, 1939, in Bartholomew County, Indiana, the son of David and Martha (Fenly) Acton. He married Carolyn S. McKain on Sept. 27, 1957. She survives. The Rev. Acton pastored for over 30 years, 10 churches on the Nazarene Southwestern Indiana district. He also retired from Walmart in 2013. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Columbus, Indiana, and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; a son, David W. (Nancy) Acton of Monk’s Corner, South Carolina; daughters, Sherry L. (Rev. Terry) Kinnett of Port Orange, Florida, Kimberly Brock of Nashville, Indiana, and Teresa (Tim) Brock of Trafalgar, Indiana; a sister, Nina (Dan) Richardson of Westport, Indiana; ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Laverne Perko.

  2. Carolyn and family-l’m so sorry to hear of Harry’s passing. I remember him helping me pick out my fruits and veggies at Walmart and all the years at Target. Godspeed Harry. . . RIP.
